In between her major blockbuster movie roles she continues to work in the theatre true to her classical training. Although initially she had difficulty getting cast due to her height (she is 5’11’’) this must have been an advantage when going for the tough part of Ripley in Alien , her most famous role. Anyone of the Alien movies is essential for any sci-fi fans and for those of you who aren’t you get the chance to see Sigourney Weaver in action, kicking aliens into touch. However, the resurrected Ripley has other ideas as do the aliens that come with her. Heartbreakers Max and Page Conners ( Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt ) are a mother and daughter pair of con artists. They share everything including the profits from their divorces from rich husbands. When Page announces that she’s ready to go it alone, Max insists that they pull off one last scam together and she has just the man in mind – widower William B. Tensy ( Gene Hackman ). Unfortunately for them they have to get past Tensy’s caretaker Miss Madress ( Nora Dunn ), Jack ( Jason Lee ) who Page has become smitten with, and Dean ( Ray Liotta ) the victim of their last heist who is hot on their trail. Copycat Weaver plays the part of criminal psychologist Helen Hudson in this hunt for a serial killer. After coming too close to a serial killer who has now been locked up Helen has become agoraphobic but homicide detective M.J Monahan ( Holly Hunter ) needs her help in tracking down the latest serial killer who is copying the murders of previous serial killers. Galaxy Quest In the 1970’s Galaxy Quest was a successful and exciting space exploration tv show. Twenty years later desperate cast members Jason Nesmith ( Tim Allen ), Gwen DeMarco ( Sigourney Weaver ), and Alexander Dane ( Alan Rickman ) are surviving by appearing for signings and appearances at Sci-fi conventions for the weirdo’s who are still obsessed by the show. Little do the cast know but a group of alien rebels living under an oppressive regime out in space have picked up the show and believe it to be real and travel to Earth to enlist the help of the cast members to over through their oppressor.
